Getting ahead of time - The Shivarth Way!

Standing in a long queue outside of the office-building elevator, Mira couldn’t help but worry about getting late, yet again, today.

This was the third time this week that she had gotten stuck up outside the elevator, despite having reached before time.

While it did bother her that her boss would be displeased with her tardiness, she was more concerned about the big presentation that was about to start in the next fifteen minutes – a client that she had been working really hard to get, was waiting upstairs, along with her senior-team for her proposal-presentation. She could not afford to create a bad impression today.

As the elevator-queue refused to move ahead, she decided to take the stairs, in a hurry.

As she sprinted, with each passing floor, she couldn’t help but wonder why her office had to stand gloriously up on the 15th floor!

She found herself panting & sweating on the tenth floor, but time was of essence & she had none to lose. As she swiped her card on the door of her office, ten minutes later, she found her boss standing at the reception.

" Mira, why are you dressed so unprofessionally? We have a very important client meeting today, don’t you remember? "

Mira looked at her office-formals and was taken aback by the wrinkles and sweat-stains on them. She was not going to create a good impression on the client, after all.

Her company did not secure a deal with that client. A dejected Mira went home disappointed. Her performance seemed to be degrading off late and she was losing her zest to work better, with each passing day.

Was it her fault, though?

She had been a rising star in her company.

But things had changed when her company recently moved into a new office space – 16-floor tall glass building, prime location, spacious floors, strong-build, modern amenities – everything desirable in an office to be proud of! Her company’s real-estate manager had signed the deal in a heartbeat.

But the company had seen a sudden decline in the productivity of almost all of their employees.

Many complaints had been registered with the HR in regards with the issue of the elevator queue – it took almost 20-30 minutes just to reach the office from the lobby!

The world certainly looked conquerable from the 15th floor but the employees often lost their will to even work when they had to climb up the stairs, just to avoid the queue, not to mention that their professional attires took the worst hit.

It is small things like these that can make or break an employee’s morale & eventually then, make or break a business’s boost.

It is also small things like these that we, at Shivarth Projects, take into consideration whilst building luxurious offices for you.

Point in case: Shivarth The ACE, our crowned jewel on SBR, Ahmedabad, boasts of not 2 or 3 but 4 elevators!
